Mouth breathing vs Nasal (nose)  breathing

Last Update 2 years ago

Mouth breathing involves inhaling and exhaling through the mouth, while nasal breathing refers to the practice of breathing exclusively through the nose. Nasal breathing is the natural and optimal way to breathe as it filters, warms, and humidifies the air, providing several benefits. It promotes better oxygen uptake, enhances lung function, and optimizes the exchange of gases in the body. Nasal breathing also helps maintain a balanced pH level, reduces the risk of respiratory infections, and supports proper oral and dental health. In contrast, mouth breathing can lead to dry mouth, decreased oxygen intake, increased susceptibility to infections, and potential dental issues.
